Task: The chapters in this region should research and share with the YES Network, the economic impact of natural resources current and planned in Africa.

This region should:

2. Have a YES Africa economic impact and natural resources awareness day

East Africa (Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda).

Task: The chapters in this region should collaborate to determine the best way forward for natural hazard mitigation in Africa.

This region should: 

1. Share reports about natural hazards in Africa with the YES Network:

2. Have a YES Africa geo hazard awareness day

West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote D'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo).

Task: The chapters in this region should research mining and para mining potential.

This region should: 

1. Share reports about mining potential in Africa with the YES Network:

2. Have a YES Africa mining awareness day

South Africa (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe) and Central Africa (Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic

Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Sao Tome & Principe).

Task: The chapters in this region should collaborate to take on geo-education literature initiatives detailing the importance of particular fields of geo-science in Africa.

This region should:

1. Publish reports about geo-education in Africa write reports under the umbrella of the importance of particular fields of geo education in Africa. For example: "The importance of Hydrogeology education in Africa". 

2. Have a YES Africa geo-education awareness day

* All reports should produce reports as a stepping-stone to eventually sharing it with wider earth science networks

* The reports should be produced every four months/three times a year in the YES Africa General Report.

* Reports should include:

- News about the current industry status

- Recommendations for changes and additions to the industry as a whole and to smaller entities within the industry

- The role of Africa's Young Earth Scientists in improving the industry

- CLEAR citations for any sources of information using APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA or Turabian citation formats.
