Resources for YES Network National Chapters

The YES Network membership is growing steadily. YES Network National Chapters being started every month and existing Chapters are moving into cyberspace with websites and Facebook pages and groups. Here are some resources to help you develop and grow your YES Network National Chapter.

I would like to start a YES Network National Chapter in my country. What do I need to do?

First, check our National Representatives list in the most recent version of our YES Network Newsletter or under our Leadership Team part of the website. If there is not a National Representative listed for your country, send an email to the YES Network's Executive Board to find out how you can start a National Chapter in your country.

If there is a YES Network National Representative listed for your country, send an email to him or her asking what you can do to get involved in YES Network activities in your country.

How do I put my National Chapter online?

There are many free resources available to you for putting your National Chapter online, including WordPress and Google. Many of our National Chapters set up a Gmail account and use blogger to set up their websites. Also, many create a Facebook page to interact with YES Network members on a more frequent basis.

For tips on how to create your National Chapter website in Blogger, contact either the YES Network Communications Team or other National Chapters that have Blogger websites (any National Chapter with a URL that includes “.blogspot.com”)

Once you have your website set-up, here is a guide to help you ensure that your posts to your site automatically update to the YES Network main website and blog. (Note, this guide is for websites developed in Google's blogger.)

Once you have set up your website, general email, and / or Facebook page, please email these details to the YES Network Communications team so we can update your information on the website and in the monthly newsletter.

How do I get in touch with other YES Network National Representatives?

All of the contact information for the YES Network National Representatives is listed under our Leadership pages. Also, make sure you read and contribute the monthly newsletter to find out about what's going on in other National Chapters, and find out about new National Chapter websites.

We also are starting monthly National Representative Skype chats where YES National Reprentatives can meet and chat with other National Representatives, exchange tips and develop ideas on how to build their National Chapters. These sessions are run as as text chat sessions. Check the monthly newsletter for the date and time of the next chat.

There is a conference I will be attending and I'd like to advertise the YES Network. Are there any resources that I can use?

Absolutely! We've designed a YES Network flyer to help you advertise the YES Network in your country and organisation. You may also edit the flyer to add your own name/email and / or your National Chapter information.
